ARC 1 - The Server

During the times people have played in this server, there was a random server announcement that occurs every now and then in which its outputs provided are.. odd. Instead of typical error messages or announcements from the admins, it speaks as if the server itself is conscious. This is what people named as the ” Server ”. To differ, this entity has its name colored in purple upon sending a message, and instead formatted as ” [Server] ” instead of ” (Server) ”. The way this entity speaks is rather concerning, for sometimes it targets players with its message, making it sound like a threat or a concern.

After Kairus lost to a bet made by Lucy whereas he must survive a week as another origin (where the origin in mention is a Merling) and avoid dying 5 times during it, there was a strange crater that randomly spawned right beside Spawn. This crater was deep and corrupted—similar in design as to what you see at Spawn within its lands and the claws supporting the crystal floating above it all. As some people traversed deeper into the crater, there lies a chest containing three papers:

” ????????????? ” ” Qpna vjg dgikppki. ” (” Only The Beginning. ”) ” (2 a -> c) ”

After decoding the second paper and heading back up, some who remained has found few more papers and collected them. Although one has gone missing, the remaining papers found reads as follows:

” fr/consequences.html ” ” : ) ” ” Only one.” ” Something will be here. ” ” Only one.”

Additionally, Lucy found an extra location 80,000 blocks away. Located in a desert biome—there is an “island” of corruption sitting atop of the sand, and in the middle of it sits a lectern with a book. The book was meant to be the Server’s message to Lucy where it states the following:

” My dear betawolfy_, Your little attempts to silence me will never work.

I am everywhere. I can do anything. I made everything here.

You do not own this world, you will never own this world.

This does not only apply to you, but to everyone, posing blocks to claim their ‘homes.’

I’ll give you some time. Choose your next actions wisely. — [REDACTED] : ) ”

Everyone became suspicious of this message immediately. While everyone was focused on the message, Cyber then decided to check the link provided—there lies three .txt files which can be opened at the website’s terminal. These are consequences.txt, coords.txt, and logs.txt.

Immediately after checking the .txt files, hell rained loose at Spawn. The players fought the Skeleton King that spawned from the Server in order to destroy them, which everyone beats it with ease. After a while of fighting, The Server summoned a wither as a last attempt to destroy them—which was also a piece of cake to the masses.

The fights never stopped there, for the longest of time there has been threats being sent at Spawn where the players must clear it in order to defend their world. Sometimes things have gone crucial to the point the beacons securing the crystal turned pitch black as a sign of danger—yet nothing has broke the spirits of these players down.

With battles won in victory, comes with more threats incoming.

The Server is an entity that mimics itself as a server announcement, except its name is colored in purple whereas it brings threats within the members of the server. After a losing bet, a crater spawned with named papers implying about an upcoming doom. Additionally, there was a corrupted island on a desert 80,000 blocks away with a letter designated for Lucy. Shortly after, hell arises with The Server spawning bosses left and right, however the players beat them with ease.

With more chaos brings more questions—especially in a place known to be a mystery of its own. During the times of doomsday’s approach, players eventually finds out that there has been a doppelganger of Lucy named ycuL—a clone made by the server itself to help bring life to even further more chaos. Apparently speaking, ycuL is a servant that follows through the order of The Server. Yet ycuL wasn’t any special for whatever threats she gives are just as easy as the Server’s. Though, she eventually realized that she was being manipulated by the Server and thus turning her back, making her the player base’s ally.

Another Doppelganger named nairianxL (“Nair”) appeared shortly after ycuL’s betrayal. Nair did involved himself in few of the chaos tasked to him from the Server, and knowing he fought hard—he also did not last. There is not much information written about him, yet that can be changed.

Meanwhile, unknown__ was formerly test entity made by Lucy in order to experiment user interaction with the NPCs, and they are also the ones who was first made in the SMP. They already existed since the server’s first opening—specifically a few days after that. Though since the crater’s creation, unknown__ has moved on its own. Even has thoughts of its own. After the fight between ycuL (in which in this timeframe, she was still with the server), she managed to turn the destruction in the crater into a small little home. After the players befriend unknown__, Kairus eventually suggested a name in which everyone agreed with: “Willow”. They are eventually renamed as Willow, in which they liked it.

Unfortunately, at a tragic incident with the Server, Willow died once in their little abode, yet thankfully enough the server respawn settings brought them back to life.

There are many other NPCs within the server, such as the two you see at Spawn, The Server’s ” Puppets ” in which they are TV heads with a designated role, etc. There is more to discover, and they will be logged whenever.

ycuL and Nair are some of the Doppelgangers sprouted from real players’ identity, where they are created by the Server to wreck havoc to the members. ycuL however turned away from the Server long after realizing she’s being manipulated , eventually becoming the player’s ally. Willow, however, was one of the first ever made NPCs that was originally used for testing before they gained consciousness since the crater’s cration. They unfortunately died once just to be revived by the respawn system. There are more NPCs to discover, such as the ones near Spawn or the TV-headed Server Puppets that roam around with a purpose.

While everyone was dealing with their own problems in regards to the Server, Yumi, one of the lesser known players within the SMP, has been making deals with the devil itself. Though the deal made was rather.. unclear and is made behind closed curtains, Yumi’s personality and livelihood slowly shifted negatively ever since he had company—The Void.

The Void is a pitch-black area with voices that echoes through Yumi’s head. Yumi worships this like a god and hes the apostle. He offers everything through it, talks through it, and believes that the Void is a sentient being even though to the naked eye—its just a pitch dark area living right near his base.

The Void’s requests tend to be a mixture of simple, vague requests, to concerning and worrisome ones. One prime example is when Yumi was requested to offer a sacrifice to the Void—a ripe harvested flesh straight from the sharpest blades he has. Yumi has his gaze locked on Drema, who was trying to mind their business at first. Yumi looked for Drema like a predator hunting for a prey, until Rena was eventually murdered inside of their own home—which this has satisfied the Void’s hunger in sacrifice for Drema’s sanity to go worse.

There is not much details about the Void yet, so this is subjective to change.

The Void is a voice of company given to Yumi from the Server as a payment for some deal. The Void is seen and treated like a god to Yumi, whereas it follows and worships its commands at any cost. One time, The Void wants Yumi to kill someone for a sacrifice, hence Yumi killed Drema—which satisfied the Void’s request.
